As an Oklahoma quarterback, you learn to perform under pressure.

Any business owner can tell you that if their company isn’t performing profitably and up to standards, one of two things will happen: either you make changes to improve its efficiency, or a competitor will drive you out of business. Market forces have a way of cutting to the chase rather quickly.

We know who are the best doctors, which doctors are performing well. Why are we not giving this know-how to our customers?

My fantasy had always been making a music video and performing with music that I had created.

When I was, like, 12, I remember grabbing a mic, pretending it was a guitar, and performing in front of my friends. I didn’t know at the time I wanted to be an artist.

My dream is not Hollywood, but to perform my act in English to 30 people in a Soho comedy club, to show New Yorkers what they look like from the French point of view.

Obviously I’ve always loved singing and performing, but I fell in love with songwriting and then I enjoyed doing that for other people and getting coached. But then I kind of stumbled into the right group of people that really started to create some unique music for me and what I wanted to say, so then it made me want to be an artist.

Acting was merely a pastime; I wanted to make films. But theatre, ah – now that was a labour of love. Can there be anything better than performing without retakes and cuts, in front of people you can see, hearing them breathe in the darkness of the hall?

I started performing music about the age of 16. I lived in Brooklyn, New York, and this thing called the Flatbush Fair comes once a year. That was my first time on stage

I have to be patient, keep performing, and be consistent.

I believe in backing my abilities and performing to the best of my capabilities.

I really don’t care about stats. I don’t care about any of that stuff. I just care about performing each and every weekend and helping my team win ball games.

Maybe I just wasn’t a show-biz type. I didn’t miss performing at all

In the absence of clearly-defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily trivia until ultimately we become enslaved by it.
