I thought Chris Benoit was worthy of being a Horseman. I thought Dean Melinko was. Obviously I thought Steven Michael was, though obviously he was inexperienced, I thought he was a perfect fit as a horseman. I did not like the Paul Roma deal. I did not like Sid Vicious or about two or three guys that they put in there, I just couldn’t see it. I couldn’t stomach it, but I had to.

You have to remember that I was a bright but simple fellow from Canada who seldom, if ever, met another writer, and then only a so-called literary type that occasionally sold a story and meanwhile worked in an office for a living.

I know something about the civilization of China, with my background, obviously, and I think I know something about American history. But that’s about all. And I’ve traveled all over the world, and for a long time I didn’t know very much about it, really.

If someone speaks badly of you, do not defend yourself against the accusations, but reply; “you obviously don’t know about my other vices, otherwise you would have mentioned these as well

You obviously never know when you have a lot of changes to a team, but the new guys have come in here and they look great. They work hard. But the league is so competitive now so it’s hard to predict.

There’s a lot of times that both myself and my brother wish, obviously, that we were just completely normal.

I think that every decision I make in my life is based on an emotion and it definitely hurts me in some situations, and helps in some situations, like obviously writing and stuff is my favorite thing to do because I get to use all of my emotions and express them in that way.

There are obviously so many artists that are very inspiring, but I can’t say that they like that I have someone in mind that is like a creative direction of where I want to go as an artist. I think I’m just doing my own thing.

Cry Baby is just a character in this world that I’m trying to create, and the music videos are really important to me, and I’ve fought to obviously get all of them approved.

On the show, The Voice, I obviously wasn’t allowed singing my own original music, because it’s not that type of show. I think it’s really cool that I get to do my own thing now.

I feel like [throughout] my entire career and life, that I’ve been judged by people who really did not know me. But I definitely think that they probably were right to assume what they had assumed about me, because there was so little to go on out there. If you only see videos of me being crazy and hearing little things here and there, then obviously you’re not going to have any idea who I really am.

Man is obviously made for thinking. Therein lies all his dignity and his merit; and his whole duty is to think as he ought.

A process which led from the amoeba to man appeared to the philosophers to be obviously a progress—though whether the amoeba would agree with this opinion is not known.
