Shooting in India has become more professional and it has helped us a lot.

At Norwich, I was injured, and then I went to Leicester, and I found myself on the bench. But I still used that to my advantage as an experience – I had to do that here at Spurs for a while, be on the bench and wait for my chance. It’s definitely something that’s helped me with my game.

I am not a man of many words, but I can honestly say that playing football is all I have ever wanted to do and to have had such a long and successful career at Manchester United has been a real honour. This was not a decision that I have taken lightly but I feel now is the right time for me to stop playing. To have been part of the team that helped the Club reach that 19th title is a great privilege.

Those who escape hell however never talk about it and nothing much bothers them after that.
