For better to come, good must stand aside

What if I should discover that the poorest of the beggars and the most impudent of offenders are all within me; and that I stand in need of the alms of my own kindness—that I, myself, am the enemy who must be loved. What then?

The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become – because He made us. He invented us. He invented all the different people that you and I were intended to be…It is when I turn to Christ, when I give up myself to His personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own.

I think everybody likes a person that stands up for themselves. Nobody likes a punk or a coward.

There comes a time when you have to drop your burdens in order to fight for yourself and your dreams.
