To reach a port, we must sail – sail, not tie at anchor – sail, not drift

Do not get too attached to life] for it is like a sailor’s leave on the shore and at any time, the captain may sound the horn, calling you back to eternal darkness.

To reach a port we must sail, sometimes with the wind, and sometimes against it. But we must not drift or lie at anchor.

He who loves practice without theory is like the sailor who  boards ship without a rudder and compass and never knows where he may cast.
