When summer’s end is nighing
And skies at evening cloud,
I muse on change and fortune
And all the feats I vowed
When I was young and proud.

Winning an Olympic quota place itself was a very hard job. Add to that a gold medal as well…. I mean it was a fantastic feeling. All the credit goes to my coach, and ultimately, this was the first Olympic quota place for India, so I’m really proud.

I’m thrilled and excited to be in the final.

Some of the senior people, the very senior astronauts, shook my hand and said, ‘K.C., you did a great job. Don’t let anyone tell you different.’

I hope that youngsters and civil society organizations and every Indian will feel proud. It is a noble cause to work for the rights of children.

200 for a batsman is a big landmark, and I have never been somebody who has chased landmarks, but getting a 200 will always be a proud moment for a batsman.
