Author: George W. BushI strongly believe what we’re doing is the right thing. If I didn’t believe it — I’m going to repeat what I said before — I’d pull the troops out, nor if I believed we could win, I would pull the troops out.
Author: George W. BushIn recent weeks we learned that scientists have created human embryos in test tubes solely to experiment on them. This is deeply troubling, and a warning sign that should prompt all of us to think through these issues very carefully.
Author: George W. BushWe’ve climbed the mighty mountain. I see the valley below, and it’s a valley of peace.
Author: George W. BushThe greatest gift a parent can give a child is unconditional love. As a child wanders and strays, finding his bearings, he needs a sense of absolute love from a parent. There’s nothing wrong with tough love, as long as the love is unconditional.
Author: George W. BushThere is a natural greenhouse effect that contributes to warming. Greenhouse gases trap heat and thus warm the Earth because they prevent a significant proportion of infrared radiation from escaping into space.

Author: George W. BushI’m the commander—see, I don’t need to explain—I do not need to explain why I say things. That’s the interesting thing about being president.
Author: George W. BushI can hear you, the rest of the world can hear you and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.
Author: George W. BushThere are cameras nowadays that have been developed to tell the difference between a squirrel and a bomb.
Author: George W. BushAmerica must always reject racial bigotry, anti-Semitism, and hatred in all forms. As we pray for Charlottesville, we are reminded of the fundamental truths recorded by that city’s most prominent citizen in the Declaration of Independence: We are all created equal and endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights. We know these truths to be everlasting because we have seen the decency and greatness of our country.
Author: George W. BushToday the Justice Department did issue a blanket alert. It was in recognition of a general threat we received. This is not the first time the Justice Department have acted like this. I hope it is the last. But given the attitude of the evildoers, it may not be.
Author: George W. BushI want to thank you for taking time out of your day to come and witness my hanging.
Author: George W. BushSome of the scientists, I believe, haven’t they been changing their opinion a little bit on global warming? There’s a lot of differing opinions and before we react I think it’s best to have the full accounting, full understanding of what’s taking place.

Author: George W. BushOne of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans’ history. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice.
Author: George W. BushLibraries promote the sharing of knowledge, connecting people of all ages with valuable information resources. These dynamic and modern institutions, and the librarians who staff them, add immeasurably to our quality of life.

Author: George W. BushNo one was more shocked or angry than I was when we didn’t find the weapons. I had a sickening feeling every time I thought about it. I still do.
Author: George W. BushBut I’m mindful in a free society that people can worship if they want to or not. You’re equally an American if you choose to worship an Almighty and if you choose not to. If you’re a Christian, Jew, or Muslim you’re equally an American. That’s the great thing about America is the right to worship the way you see fit. Prayer and religion sustain me. I receive calmness in the storms of the presidency. I love the fact that people pray for me and my family all around the country. Somebody asked me one time, how do you know? I said I just feel it.
Author: George W. BushWe’ve been able to watch on our television screens sophisticated weaponry find a building; and we’ve seen dramatic reports from the front where Pulitzer Prize-to-be winning reporters stood up and declared, the United States is attacked, and all that.

Author: George W. BushI will keep America moving forward, always forward, for a better America, for an endless enduring dream and a Thousand Points of Light. This is my mission, and I will complete it.
Author: George W. BushAmerica is never wholly herself unless she is engaged in high moral principle. We as a people have such a purpose today. It is to make kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world.
Author: George W. BushAmericans understand we fight not a religion; ours is not a campaign against the Muslim faith. Ours is a campaign against evil.
Author: George W. BushI’ve made it clear, Madam President, that the war against terrorism is not a war against Muslims, nor is it a war against Arabs. It’s a war against evil people who conduct crimes against innocent people.
Author: George W. BushI think it’s really important for this great state of baseball to reach out to people of all walks of life to make sure that the sport is inclusive. The best way to do it is to convince little kids how to—the beauty of playing baseball.
Author: George W. BushYou know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war president. No president wants to be a war president, but I am one.
Author: George W. BushThere’s a huge trust. I see it all the time when people come up to me and say, ‘I don’t want you to let me down again.

Author: George W. BushThe California crunch really is the result of not enough power-generating plants and then not enough power to power the power of generating plants.
Author: George W. BushI know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe – I believe what I believe is right.
Author: George W. BushThe survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world
Author: George W. BushAmerica was targeted for attack because we’re the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.
Author: George W. BushFor every fatal shooting, there are about 3 non-fatal shootings. Folks, this is unacceptable in America.
Author: George W. BushWait a minute. What did you just say? You’re predicting $4-a-gallon gas? … That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard that.
Author: George W. BushThis is still a dangerous world. It’s a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses.
Author: George W. Bush
The signal we ought to send to our children is that in spite of what happened in the ’60s and ’70s, we have learned some lessons. And the lessons ought to be: don’t be using drugs and alcohol.

Author: George W. BushMany people are coming to this country for economic reasons. They’re coming here to work. If you can make 50 cents in the heart of Mexico, for example, or make $5 here in America, $5.15, you’re going to come here if you’re worth your salt, if you want to put food on the table for your families. And that’s what’s happening.
Author: George W. BushThe terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself. The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends; it is not our many Arab friends. Our enemy is a radical network of terrorists, and every government that supports them.
Author: George W. BushAmerica rejects bigotry. We reject every act of hatred against people of Arab background or Muslim faith America values and welcomes peaceful people of all faiths – Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, and many others. Every faith is practiced and protected here because we are one country. Every immigrant can be fully and equally American because we’re one country. Race and color should not divide us, because America is one country.

Author: George W. BushYou know, I could run for governor and all this but I’m basically a media creation. I’ve never really done anything. I’ve worked for my dad. I worked in the oil industry. But that’s not the kind of profile you have to have to get elected to public office.
Author: George W. BushMankind is drawn to the heavens for the same reason we were once drawn into unknown lands and across the open sea. We choose to explore space because doing so improves our lives, and lifts our national spirit. So let us continue the journey.
