The best success, for me, is not one trophy. It’s not harmony. It’s when players improve and grow.

Winning a trophy would be a good way to finish a bad season in a positive way. But I’m not obsessed by the fact I have to win a trophy every year – it’s a nice thing, but I know it’s sometimes impossible.

It’s nice to win a trophy every season and say every year, ‘OK, I won something.’

Obviously, I am hoping to go on and win many trophies for Spurs and for England. That’s always been the aim since I was a kid, dreaming of lifting the trophy one day for them, so that’s what I’ve got to do.

I thank God for all the victories and conquests I’ve had this year as a player and I bring to the altar two prizes. This is first my son who is about to be born. The other is my trophy from Fifa, which I want to dedicate to God.

When I finally held the trophy, it was just how I imagined it would be.

Success is only meaningful–and enjoyable–if it feels like your own.

The most important thing is to keep your team as small as possible.

I used to go to the West to get loads, I just came back from the West with a trophy.
