Everyone believes in the law of errors, the experimenters because they think it is a mathematical theorem, and the mathematicians because they think it is an experimental fact.

In my school, the brightest boys did math and physics, the less bright did physics and chemistry, and the least bright did biology. I wanted to do math and physics, but my father made me do chemistry because he thought there would be no jobs for mathematicians.

Some things that satisfy the rules of algebra can be interesting to mathematicians even though they don’t always represent a real situation.

I am not interested in what today’s mathematicians find interesting.

I love only nature, and I hate mathematicians.
