I’m half-black, half-white, so I basically put it like this: I can fit in anywhere. That’s why I write so many stories from so many different perspectives, because I’ve seen so many.

I do think, however, that there’s a very diverse point of view in the African-American community. There’s a lot of different voices that need to be heard. I don’t claim and pretend to know the thoughts and opinions and ideas of all African-Americans.

Catholics and other Christians are against abortions and they’re against homosexuality. Well who has less abortions than homosexuals? Leave these f**king people alone for Christ’s sake. Here is an entire class of people guaranteed never to have an abortion.
