And there have certainly been movies I wanted to be in and milestones I wanted to surpass that did not happen

Working on Bill & Ted was certainly an excellent adventure. I love those characters. I love the spirit of the film. I like the eternal goodness of these characters. I always thought of them as beautiful fools.

Then one can’t make a living out of poetry? Certainly not. What fool expects to? Out of rhyming, yes.

It certainly was cold, was his thought. That man from Sulphur Creek had spoken the truth when telling how cold it sometimes got in the country. And he had laughed at him at the time! That showed one must not be too sure of things. There was no mistake about it, it was cold.

I love being Canadian. I think growing up in Canada gives you a world perspective that I certainly enjoy.

I believe that the unexamined life is not worth living, and the writer certainly cannot afford any self-delusion for his subject is himself and the world he is in.

Stupidity has a certain charm – ignorance does not

Truth, I have learned, differs for everybody. Just as no two people ever see a rainbow in exactly the same place – and yet both most certainly see it, while the person seemingly standing right underneath it does not see it at all – so truth is a question of where one stands, and the direction one is looking in at the time.

He’s a good driver of the ball. He doesn’t get himself in predicaments. He certainly has a good iron game and his short game, bar none, is one of the best.

Certainly the game is rigged. Don’t let that stop you; if you don’t bet you can’t win.

In physics the truth is rarely perfectly clear, and that is certainly universally the case in human affairs. Hence, what is not surrounded by uncertainty cannot be the truth.

I couldn’t claim that I was smarter than sixty-five other guys – but the average of sixty-five other guys, certainly!
