Haider al-Abadi
Haider al-Abadi, born on April 25, 1952, is an Iraqi politician and statesman. He served as the Prime Minister of Iraq from 2014 to 2018. With a background in engineering and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Manchester, al-Abadi initially worked as an academic and an engineer. However, he entered politics in the aftermath of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. During his tenure as Prime Minister, he faced numerous challenges, including the rise of ISIS and efforts to stabilize the country. Haider al-Abadi played a crucial role in the fight against terrorism and in promoting political stability in Iraq during his leadership.
