G. H. Hardy
Godfrey Harold Hardy (G. H. Hardy) (Feb 7, 1877 – Dec 1, 1947)was a renowned British mathematician known for his significant contributions to number theory and mathematical analysis. Born on February 7, 1877, in England, Hardy made substantial advances in the understanding of prime numbers and developed the Hardy-Ramanujan asymptotic formula. He collaborated with the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, which led to groundbreaking mathematical discoveries. Hardy was a fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and a prominent figure in the development of rigorous mathematical proofs. He also authored influential textbooks and played a crucial role in the education and mentorship of future mathematicians. G. H. Hardy passed away in 1947.
