G. Gordon Liddy
G. Gordon Liddy (1930-2021) was an American lawyer, FBI agent, and political operative known for his involvement in the Watergate scandal, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Born on November 30, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, Liddy served as a Special Agent in the FBI and later became a controversial figure as a member of the Nixon administration’s “Plumbers” unit, responsible for covert operations. His role in planning the break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex led to criminal charges. Liddy was convicted and served four and a half years in prison. He later pursued a career in radio and authored several books. G. Gordon Liddy passed away in 2021.
